In Versilia’s hinterland, hidden among the Marble Caves of the Apuan Alps, vineyards, olive groves, and wild vegetation, a villa perfectly blends in with the surrounding nature thanks to the elegance and balance of the local materials used.
Natural stone hints at traditional dry stone walls. Wood and burnished metal complete the surrounding nature without contaminating it, whereas the large windows reflect the landscape embracing it inside the luxurious interiors.
The interiors and bespoke furniture are designed by London-based William Nickerson Architectural & Interior Design, who suggested leaving the beams visible and matching them with wooden floors and neutral-coloured walls.
The single-pitch roof is particularly light compared to its dimensions. It was built using a special technique that maintains all the energy characteristics of a Wolf Haus Energy Plus house.
