Single-family house realised in the province of Reggio Emilia

A couple from the province of Reggio Emilia decided to build their second house in their hometown. 
Balancing life and work in a big city can be rewarding and stressful at the same time. That’s why they needed a retreat in the countryside to enjoy the simple things in life and the view of their favourite mountains. 

This light-flooded house’s architectural and construction characteristics ensure maximum acoustic and thermal comfort. Moreover, it’s clad with local stone to harmoniously coexist with the environment and surrounding buildings. 

The infinity pool overlooks the only room of the house, enhancing this simple rural architecture. Besides the photovoltaic panels, this house is heated by a wood-burning stove. At the same time, the swimming pool is heated with solar thermal energy.
