This building consists of a double-height volume clad with large stone slabs covering the south side and the roof. A bold solution that hints at the compact trees covering the nearby Mount Canto.
The rest of the house has one floor above the ground and a flat roof that closes the C-shaped design, creating patio facing west toward the mill race. It’s the perfect setting for outdoor summer dinners at sunset.
The entrance is in the centreline of the double-height volume. It opens into the living room and the kitchen next to it, featuring a large window framing the landscape.
A long glazed corridor overlooking the patio leads to the bedrooms and utility rooms.
Casa EL is a Wolf Haus Energy Plus Total Air building with CMV. The 10 kW photovoltaic system is installed on the flat roof and is completely hidden.
